Afghan Disable and Vulnerable Society (ADVS) was established in 1997 in Afghanistan as an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization, promoting self-reliance and rehabilitation for the persons with disabilities and vulnerabilities. Its first major initiative was establishment of an Educational School for Disable and Vulnerable people in Afghanistan itself where it continued to work closely with communities throughout the country. Since then, our organization's development and growth have been shaped – and strengthened - by the complex and continually changing environment still prevalent in many areas. More importantly, the development and growth of the organization have been through an evolutionary process. ADVS is registered with the Ministry of Economy and can implement projects in 34 provinces of Afghanistan for women, youth, and children.
